Holden Jones are recruiting a new member of a Credit Control team for a thriving business in Slough, reporting into a Credit Manager. The team split the coverage of the ledger into geographic sales zones to maintain consistency of relationships with the sales functions as well as customer portfolio. As an experienced Credit Controller you must have a good level of education, be computer literate and have a naturally assertive manner. You will have strong analytical, technical, communication and organisation skills. The role will consist of:
  • Responsibility for your own cash allocation, posting payments to accounts and allocating to open items using remittance advices or through reconciliation, including discounts and rebates.
  • Working with a minimum of supervision on collection of overdue accounts.
  • Having regular customer contact by phone and email, spending a minimum of 2 hours each day making outbound customer calls in an effort to collect outstanding debt due. Target 50 calls per week.
  • Undertaking account reconciliations, and resolving all queries diligently.
  • Attending regular meetings with other members of the credit control team to ensure all relevant debts are managed as necessary; and assist other members as a genuine team player.
  • Ad-hoc reporting as and when required.
