Maintenance Engineer’s are primarily responsible for general maintenance and repairs in guest suites, meeting and event space, leisure club, function space and back of house areas. Responsible to the maintenance manager you will carry out a wide range of plumbing, mechanical, electrical, joinery and general building works.
You will also assist external contractors with repairs to specialist equipment contained within the hotel.
A technical qualification would be preferable but not essential, as experience in one or more of the following building trades including plumbing, carpentry, and electrical, painting and decorating or general building maintenance.
A good understanding of all aspects of hotels and building services is essential for this role which operates with a 2 shift system, 8am to 4.30pm and 11.30am to 20.00 pm, 3 out of 7 days.

- Working knowledge of boilers, hot water, heating and air conditioning systems would be advantageous. Ability to carry out basic building maintenance works, inc electrical, joinery, plumbing and painting and decorating.Ability to carry out both planned and responsive maintenance works.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise.Be organised and be able to multi task.Qualified by experience or qualification is advantageous.Previous Experience of a customer service environment advantageous.IT literacy, Health & Safety awareness.A good clean, smart professional appearance.Confident and courteous manner.
