Process Engineer / Customer Technical Support
Hindlow, Buxton (Office/Field Based)

The Role:

To cover the requirements of our client’s field trials

As a Process Engineer / Customer Technical Support, you will project manage the trials of company products on the customer’s site. This will involve using company owned equipment or managing the modification of the customer’s equipment during the trials.

Sound understanding of the workings, the operations and servicing of the dosing rig for FGT trials.

To become an “expert” in the technical benefits of the products and also the processes they are used in.

The duties at present will involve 50% on the above role and 50% in on site projects at Production plants.

Reporting to both the Market Manager (Sales) and the Site Operations Manager (Production)

The role includes a company Car.

Specific Duties:

All equipment is checked and maintained prior to leaving Hindlow for trials, and so it is not envisaged that our client needs to provide an engineer to rotate across all trial sites on a daily basis whilst equipment remains at customer sites. Any daily maintenance necessary remains the responsibility of the customer, but equipment/trial support from the company should cover:

- Equipment preparation at Hindlow
- On-site equipment setup, commissioning, safety briefings, modes of operation and alterations/remedial measures if required at a later date
- On-site repairs where possible of damaged/failed equipment. Replacement if necessary.
- Ensure equipment performance does not drift over time
- Investigative analysis for unknown issues
- Manage Trials and collect trial data from customers


- Strong work ethic
- Eagerness to learn about new processes
- Driving licence
- Hands-on mentality that is in keeping with H&S guidelines
- Knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical practices.
- Chemical process knowledge or qualifications.
- Safety Passport
- Personable, with good communication skills to be able to influence at all operational levels
- Planning ability
- Tenacity and determination to complete projects
