My client, a well established engineering company, is looking to recruit an Engineering Project Co-ordinator / Engineering Graduate for their site near Glastonbury Somerset. This is an exciting and varied role with the successful candidate liaising with the Sales, Drawing Office, Purchasing and Production departments to ensure customers projects smoothly progress from design to final completion. The successful candidate will also get involved in other administrative tasks including health and safety.

Main duties will include:

  • Working with Sales and Production departments in the costing of projects
  • Assisting in the design and progression of each project
  • Providing reports updating on current projects
  • Working with Production departments in best work practices
  • Working with Purchasing department on the formulation of cutting lists and the procurement of materials and services
  • Visiting customer’s sites to carry out measurements and site surveys
  • Involvement in the companys Health and Safety
  • Additional administrative tasks as required

Key skills:

  • Ability to work on own initiative and/or with others as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sound understanding of general Engineering
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
  • Good manner when dealing with Customers and suppliers either by telephone or in person
  • Good knowledge of design criteria and practices
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Ability to respond to change flexibly

This is a Monday to Friday (40hr) role which will suit an experienced engineering coordinator, engineering administrator, engineering graduate that enjoys working on a number of different tasks. This company has a low staff turnover and is keen to develop its staff.
