The job of Mobile Repair Technician

As part of a team of Technicians you will be traveling around the local area completing repairs on customers’ cars at their work places, homes and approved locations. This will include vehicle prepping, painting, repairing, filling, polishing and presenting. You will be responsible for keeping all Company tools and equipment safe and in a clean, workable condition paying particular attention to the reduction of any fire hazards. The role of Mobile Repair Technician is very autonomous and requires good time management and organisation. You will also be required to update your knowledge regularly when product developments and improvements take place. Attend training courses as necessary.

We have full fleet of Mercedes Sprinters vans which are fully kitted out with fully compliant repair capsules with a self-sufficient power source. We supply air fed masks and a fully operational mobile paint booth.

You will report into Jamie Aitchison, Operations and Development Manager who has been at Nationwide for number of years. He is passionate about Customers and his team and is absolutely determined to make his bodyshop the best in group. It’s an amazing team!

What we think good looks like

As a Mobile Repair Technician we would like you to have an interest and passion in what we do. With a professional appearance we would also appreciate if you were enthusiastic, have strong organisational skills, geographical awareness and the ability to work unsupervised. The Mobile Repair Technician will handle all vehicles with due care and attention ensuring that customer care/satisfaction is maintained at all times. You must also have awareness of and adhere to all the housekeeping and health and safety regulations. Experience in a body shop or accident repair environment working as a Paint/Panel + MET is advantageous as is an ATA qualified or time served technician with NVQ Level 1, 2 & 3. Naturally, due to the nature of the job you will need to have a full UK/EU Driving Licence. We will help and support you with the rest
