Critical purpose of:

As a Junior Unity C# Developer at Wren you will play a key role in our agile scrum team to ensure the 3D side of the CAD and VR experience for our Kitchen and Bathroom designers and customers. You would understand both technical and non-technical requirements to deliver changes to the software on an ongoing basis as well as working in a team to help drive the software forward.

Main responsibilities/accountabilities:

  • Developing and maintaining Wrens industry leading 3D CAD tool
  • Collaborating with 3D artists to incorporate new models and textures into the application
  • Collaborating with JavaScript developers to ensure integration points between 2D and 3D platforms
  • Working in a fast-paced agile/scrum environment to deliver projects to time and specification
  • Work to minimise bugs as well as to assess, mitigate and advise of risks associated with code changes
  • Understand and implement technical requirements
  • Working with other team members

Relevant qualifications & experience

  • Mandatory
  • Minimum of 1 years experience developing and maintaining Unity C# applications
  • Deep understanding of the Unity3D software package
  • Understanding of co-routines, asynchronous programming and other associated methodologies
  • Understanding of the agile/scrum software development process
  • Keen desire to keep up-to date with technology
  • Desired
  • Degree level education or equivalent in computer science or games development
  • Understanding of 3D modelling
  • Experience with JavaScript
  • Experience with 3D modelling software and photo-realistic rendering using Vray
  • Experience working in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Experience using WebGL
