An excellent secondary school in West London, is looking for a teacher to lead the Humanities department this January 2018.

An Outstanding Secondary School based in West London is seeking a Humanities that can teach either History as well as lead the department, starting in January. The current role holder is taking an internal promotion and therefore candidates who are looking to work in a progressive school are encouraged to apply.

The school has a very high profile for excellent standards of teaching and they are looking an inspirational teacher to lead the humanities department. The department is a popular choice amongst students and results sit well above average both in the borough and nationally. The department consists of 3 teachers, who all have over 2 years' experience.

The school as a whole has been recognised by various senior education peers and was in the top 3% most improved schools across the country last year with 100% 5 A*-C grade GCSE passes.

The Head teacher of this school believes in an inclusive learning environment and seeks to ensure a wide variety of subjects to match the best abilities of all children. Behaviour on the whole is exemplary, however you may encounter some low level chatting, therefore someone who doesn't shy from challenging pupils or lower ability pupils would be preferred.

The school is graded by Ofsted as 'Outstanding' in all areas so teachers that have received 'good' or 'outstanding' in their most recent observations are encouraged to apply!

A teacher with previous managerial experience would be advantageous, however experienced teachers who are looking for to progress to a managerial position are encouraged to apply.
