*Please note that this role is based on the Isle of Man and includes a relocation package* The ResponsibilitiesAs our I.T. Security Specialist your role will be to establishes system controls by developing framework for controls and levels of access; recommending improvements.
• Exploring, analysing, and implementing the company’s security systems including penetration testing.• Auditing the systems and information management processes to identify breaches• Developing and implementing corrective actions for security breaches and maintaining internal data security procedures • Maintaining/updating records. Evaluating and improving the existing security systems within the organisation• Participating in disaster recovery plan development and ensuring these do not pose any threats to the security.• Investigating improper access; reporting violations; monitoring information requests by new programming.• Establishes computer and terminal physical security by developing standards, policies, and procedures; coordinating with facilities security; recommending improvements.• Develops security awareness by providing orientation, educational programs, and on-going communication.
The CandidateWe’re looking for a candidate that can lead by example. Someone who communicates well - actively taking on-board suggestions from other team members and proactively initiates, develops/maintains effective working relationship.
• Certified or working towards one or more of: CISSP / SSCP / CISA / CEH.• A minimum of 3 years current experience working in an IT environment• Strong IT Security background and good understanding of IT Security concepts to deliver corporate plans.• A flexible and dynamic approach to work and ability to work accurately whilst observing strict deadlines• Ability to cooperate with a variety of people to achieve results and lead internal teams/task forces • Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions. • Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies. • Understands internal client expectations recognizing when issues/events may affect delivery and anticipating internal client needs before they arise.
