This role involves working as part of a team within an on- or off-shore Finance Operations, shared services unit. You will be involved in delivering a range of services to internal and external customers to a high standard and defined SLAs. These services will typically be of a transactional nature e.g. premium collection, query resolution; but will require managing numerous systems and processes, responding effectively to a wide range of scenarios and fluctuating priorities, and working to tight deadlines and consistent standards. You will add value through your ability to build relationships and interact effectively with customers, to influence activity to generate positive business outcomes and promptly identify and investigate any transactions or issues that require non-standard responses and act accordingly.

* Dealing directly with internal and/or external customers to deliver customer satisfaction by carrying out a range of transactions and interactions to a high standard
* Carrying out processes and transactions, accurately and consistently in line with defined timescale and service standards e.g. response times, record keeping, referrals, etc
* Planning & prioritising your daily activities to investigate financial transactions and identify and influence solutions to problems/barriers arising.
* Engaging with customers and colleagues to maintain open lines of communication, ensure mutual understanding and the prompt resolution of issues arising
* Identifying and suggesting opportunities to add value through improved efficiency or effectiveness and/or enhanced service
* Adapting quickly to unexpected fluctuations in volume or changes in demand, operating processes or technologies
* Adhering to control and risk management policies and procedures

The Individual
We are seeking someone that has worked in finance previously in a similar role or has studied a finance/accountancy qualification and has customer service experience.

Key skills we are looking for:

* Strong numeracy skills and high level of accuracy
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel
* Previous business experience in a customer facing Finance or Operations environment
* Proven ability to follow procedures correctly and deliver consistently to tight deadlines and customer expectations

You will be working in a supportive team and this role would suit a team player that wants to learn and develop.
