Credit & Receivable Team Leader - Permanent - Up to £35,000 - Oxfordshire

My Client, a long-established family run business in Oxfordshire, are currently seeking an experienced Credit Control and Receivables Team Leader or Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Office Manager, you will oversee the Credit Control Team and be responsible for 2 staff. The successful candidate will need to drive and monitor A/R processes in a fast paced, sales-led environment, ensuring accurate cash flow forecasting, revenue recognition and timely collections across a diverse portfolio of debtors and a variety of revenue streams.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the Credit Control, Receivables and Sales Administration processes for all revenue streams.

Hold overall responsibility for monitoring, reconciling and collating ledger data.

Managing the timely collection of all debts in accordance with agreed Credit/Payment terms.

Ensure that cash flow is maximised and Management processes are completed in a timely manner.

Work closely with Sales and Asset Finance representatives to ensure accurate revenue recognition and cash flow forecasts.

Deal with escalated queries or disputes.

Produce ad-hoc, weekly and month-end reports on a timely basis with commentary.

Staff development - providing coaching, direction and guidance.

Oversee, review and recommend updates to the credit policy.

The Candidate:

Proven experience as a Credit or A/R Team Leader or Manager (+3 years).

Ideally CICM qualified or affiliated.

Strong Customer Service ethos and commercial brand awareness.

Measurable and demonstrable track record of motivating, mentoring and coaching collections staff in an SME environment.

Be prepared to be hands on and heavily involved in the Sales pipeline including, hire purchase, leasing and direct with after-sales.

A track record of adding real business value and able to communicate at Board level.

Demonstrate a contagious enthusiasm for continuous improvement and consistently delivering the highest levels of performance.

Outgoing, engaging personality and the ability to work with a diverse portfolio of debtors.

Building strong relationships with internal business unit Directors and Sales Teams.

Excellent attention to detail.

Advanced Excel skills for reporting and Microsoft Dynamics systems knowledge would be a plus.

Previous experience in the Agricultural or Construction industry would be a plus.
