Salary: Circa £35k - £40k per annum

About the role:

They are currently looking to appoint an experienced Management Accountant to lead the team producing the Operational Management Accounts for their area.

The role is a partnering role; and thus requires the individual to hold strong relationships with the relevant stakeholders to include budget holders, finance colleagues and operations teams.


- Responsibility for the timely and accurate production of both internal and external reports and returns.
- For example, completion of the management accounts, budgets, forecasts, balance sheet reconciliations, regulatory returns and reporting packs.
- Partnering and holding strong relationships with the Operations team; finance teams and budget holders; working alongside them in decision making.
- Responsible for developing and managing the Cost Accountant & Income Accountant, with clear resource planning, coaching and development.
- Ensuring all colleagues have a PDP in place, considering succession planning, and performance managing where necessary.
- Ensuring the appropriate levels of financial controls are in place, and if any shortfalls these should be addressed and adjusted Challenging the status quo, ensuring processes and procedures are robust.
- A proactive approach; anticipating situations.
- Being an ambassador for positive change within the business; working cross functionally with other teams and being an active leader in Finance Meetings.

About you:

- 5 + years in a management accounting environment.
- Preferably Qualified Management Accountant or similar (or QBE).
- Leadership role held for a minimum of 2 years.
- Experienced in excel and other Microsoft products.
- High level of computer accuracy.
- Ability to present information in a user friendly manner.

You may have experience of the following: Finance Manager, AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, Accountant, Finance Team Leader, Financial Accountant, Management Accountant, Qualified Accountant, Retail, Accountancy, Bookkeeper etc.
