Provided the applicant is time served, (skilled) training will be supplied. Experience in a machining workplace is essential, however we are open to a wide pool of applicants/experience with no prior knowledge of the advertised disciplines.

Our client is seeking to recruit Skilled EDM/Setter/Operator, Skilled Inspector and Skilled CNC Turner for night shift working

Rate of pay for both roles is £16.83 per hour inclusive of a shift multiplier of 1.4x. (Std rate of £12.02)

Hours of work per week is 35 (4 days x 8.75 hours). Therefore, annualised basic salary of £30,630.60 applies. Monday to Thursday 21:00 to 06:15 with 30 minutes unpaid break.

21 days holiday per year, plus 8 bank & public holidays applies.

Duties for the Inspector are:

Reporting to the Chief Inspector, you must be able to perform inspection and testing duties in accordance with customer specifications and company quality management standards.
Inspection:
• Perform 1stoff, In-process and Final View Inspection of machined, purchased and assembled products.
• Manual & CNC CMM Operation.
• Initiate Internal & External Non Conformance Reports.
• First Article Inspection & Preparation
• Inspect components accurate to drawing and in a timely manner.
• Ensure all work, tasks, procedures and documentation meet the requirements of the company quality management system.
• Ensure paperwork is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Work with other company personnel to resolve inspection queries.
• Identify & Facilitate Process Improvement

Duties for the EDM Setter/Operator (Training provided)

Main Duties:

Manufacture:

• Operating

• Setting

• Deburring

• In Process Inspection

Additional Duties:

Data Card Preparation.

Planning Sheet Preparation.

Planning Tray Preparation for next Sales Order.

Housekeeping.

Basic Machine Maintenance.

Any other duties deemed to be appropriate by your line manager.

Main Responsibilities:

• Produce components accurate to drawing and in a timely manner.

• Understand existing CNC programs.

• Upload/download programs & setup datums and tool offsets.

• Ensure all work, tasks, procedures and documentation meet the requirements of the company quality management system.

• Ensure paperwork is completed in an accurate and timely manner.

• Multi Manning.

• Identify & Facilitate Process Improvement.

Duties for the CNC Turner

SKILLED CNC TURNER DECRIPTION

Responsible For: Reporting to the CNC Turning Section Leader, you must be able to operate, set and programme CNC Lathes in accordance with customer specifications and company quality management standards.
Job Purpose: To satisfy the production requirements of sales orders in line with the companies work instructions, quality standards and procedures.
Main Duties: Manufacture:
• Operating
• Setting
• Programming
• Deburring
• In Process Inspection
Additional Duties: Planning Sheet Preparation.
Planning Tray Preparation for next Sales Order.
Housekeeping.
Basic Machine Maintenance.
Any other duties deemed to be appropriate by your line manager.
