Rental Income Support Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen with Rental Income Support team in a West/Central London Council, who are currently looking to recruit FOUR individuals for this role. The purpose of the role will be to maximise rental income of approximately £5.8 million of a patch of properties, whilst providing excellent customer care to ensure resident satisfaction and sustaining tenancies. It will also involve working with other teams, such as the Tenancy Teams and external organizations such as debt advice agencies, credit unions, Law Centres, and Social Care teams.
-Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of housing and other relevant legislation, the regulatory framework that governs housing, associated case law, Welfare Reforms and the court pre-action protocol
-Experience of income management in a social housing environment and of dealing successfully with associated challenges
-A comprehensive understanding and knowledge of welfare benefits policy and legislation
-Experience of making sustainable arrangements for residents to repay rent arrears
-Experience of using and maintaining financial records and IT systems - especially NORTHGATE
-Experience of working in an environment requiring the delivery of outstanding customer service
-Educated to A level standard OR NVQ 3 OR with relevant experience. A housing qualification would be an advantage but is not essential.
