Our prestigious Automotive client based in Gaydon, Warwickshire is looking for a highly skilled and experienced HMI Engineer to work within our Clients ever expanding Vehicle Engineering department on a full time basis.
Based in the Design Studio at our Research and Development facility in Warwickshire, as part of an expanding Human Factors team, this role is to deliver the Human Factors requirements for new automated driving features for future products.
This is a brilliant opportunity for the chosen candidate to work in a very modern and luxurious working environment. The successful HMI Engineer will be working a 40 hour week with access to onsite parking.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Working directly with other stakeholders to help define and influence the feature definition
  • The position will require the delivery of high quality specification documents that are clear and unambiguous
  • Skills Required:

  • Sound understanding of Human Factors and Ergonomic design principles for user Interfaces
  • Self-motivated and able to work with management support within the local team and interfacing across business functions
  • Ability to coordinate and run user trials to gather objective data to support business decision making and detail design
  • Statistical analysis, problem solving and root-cause analysis including idea generation and issue resolution
  • Clear and concise communicator
  • Ability to produce formal documentation to a professional standard
  • Ability to manage projects and deliver to short timescales and deadlines
  • Competitor research / benchmarking (physical and web-based) and Quality data analysis
  • Knowledge and understanding of current industry ADAS feature set and BASt/SAE Autonomous Driving levels
  • Knowledge of our client's internal feature development process
  • Familiarity with premium automotive sector, products and features
  • Experience Required:
  • Previous experience in a Human Factors / Ergonomics role within a consumer based Product Development environment to include concept development, assessment and user trialling AND/OR Human Factors Qualification with project based experience in Product development environment
  • Education Required:Higher qualification in related discipline (MSc/PhD Human Factors, Ergonomics, Applied Psychology, Product Design, etc) Additional Information:
