We have a fantastic opportunity for a Manufacturing Manager / Engineering Manager to join a world renowned automotive manufacturing organisation in Swindon, paying a negotiable salary and excellent benefits.

Mon to Friday - 40 hrs per week

Our client specialise in the design and manufacture of Special Purpose Machinery and robotic equipment for the automotive industry - known for their high standards, they are looking for a Manufacturing Manager / Engineering Manager. The successful candidate will be managing a dedicated team of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers engaged in the manufacture, assembly and installation of automotive production and assembly equipment.

Role & Responsibilities:
* Managing the assembly and installation of robot welding cells, sealer application cells, vision inspection systems and bespoke powertrain equipment
* Planning workloads, including prioritising and allocating work (to include overtime management)
* Overseeing machine assembly and installation operations
* Preparing and presenting weekly / monthly reports and dealing with quality issues
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

* HNC or higher in Mechanical Engineering
·Proven track record in manufacturing / production environment (automotive would be ideal)
·Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar management role
·Strong experience of weld jig & tooling manufacture / assembly (as well as welding techniques)
·Robot system set up, functional programming and interlocking
·Machine shop processes
·Project Management experience including cost estimation & control, parts order / control and planning assembly & commissioning
·Shipping & buy off protocols

In addition you will enjoy working in a fast paced environment, with the ability to work to strict deadlines and prioritise your workload accordingly. You will possess strong man management skills and enjoy working in a hands on capacity.
