The Service Charge Accountant is a crucial role, with responsibility for ensuring that service charges are accurately calculated and demanded for all of our client's properties. These include charges for Leaseholders & Shared Owners, Supported Housing & General Needs tenants, on both existing and new developments.

Service Charge Accountant
Salary: Up to £45k per annum
Based: Billericay, Essexor East London (E14),with travel to other locations

You will provide leadership to both the team of officers you manage and the group, liaising with relevant Department Heads and Directors to identify service charge trends, issues and improvements.

You will need to prepare and present reports, management account information and budgets to a range of audiences, making complex information and figures easily understandable.

This is a highly challenging area, where attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure are required to meet legal requirements and timescales.

You will have experience of dealing with service charges, understanding the issues and methods related to the calculation of these.

Most of all you will need to ensure compliance with legislative & regulatory requirements, while meeting the needs of customers to ensure that charges are reasonable, transparent and fair.
