Production Manager (Engineering)
My client, a specialist Engineering company based in Buckinghamshire are seeking a Production Manager to join the team on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will support the production team in delivering customer orders in a timely manner, meeting all necessary quality standards. The role will be office based working Monday to Friday. (8.30am to 5:15pm - Monday to Thursday) and (08:30am to 3:00pm - Friday)
Providing mechanical and electrical/electronic production personnel with documentation and information, adequate to ensure that quality standards can be achieved and maintained.
Organising the mechanical production and electrical/electronic elements to ensure that specified requirements are met with regard to quality, delivery and cost.
Organisation and control of any special sub-contract services.
The control and implementation as necessary of any special customers’ standards or drawings pertinent to the supply of goods or services.
Monitoring of suppliers.
Supply sourcing and ordering.
Responsible for the maintenance of stock and stock control.
Checking incoming customers' orders by means of contract review to define products to meet customers' specifications.
Assisting the Company in remaining compliant with Health & Safety regulations.
A minimum of 4-5 years engineering experience, ideally gained in a small business manufacturing environment where precision working is required. Experience of the whole manufacturing process from design input through component selection, build, test and calibration would be a distinct advantage.
Good PC skills (including Manufacturing software and MS Office) - Essential
Solid understanding of engineering principles and practices - Essential
Recognition of components and materials - Essential
Understanding of the principals of flow measurement - Desirable

Mechanical Engineering qualification (HND/HNC or equivalent) or time served as an apprentice.
