Role

Robert half is currently looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant for a large international business based in South Birmingham

This role will be responsible for the preparation and processing of month end journals (accruals and prepayments) along with month end analysis. You will also assist with the generation of invoices and credit notes, processing cash and assisting in the maintenance of the bank accounts.

Duties:

  • International Month end journals - accruals & prepayments
  • International SG&A analysis and review
  • International WIP review and reporting
  • International Bank reconciliation
  • International Invoicing
  • International Fee reporting and reconciliation
  • International Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with the preparation of Statutory accounts
  • UK balance sheet reconciliations
  • UK Invoicing
  • UK Temp Billing
  • UK weekly temp reporting
  • Assist with UK Month end journals - accruals & prepayments
  • Assist with UK Tax pack analysis
  • Assist with internal and external Audits for the UK
  • Banking of cheques and collection of foreign exchange
  • Ad hoc report and duties requested by management

Person

  • Minimum studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA)
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to prioritise work
  • Good organisational, time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Self motivated and able to work on own initiative, to high standards
  • Calm under pressure
  • Highly numerate and keen attention to detail
  • Good analytical skills
  • Commercial & customer focused in approach and experience of working in a fast paced, change oriented environment
  • Able to use judgement and experience to reach clear decisions supporting the requirements of propriety
  • Flexible and able to adapt readily to amendments to existing systems and processes, but with due regard to requirements of Sarbanes Oxley
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good written skills, with clarity and sensitivity
  • To follow general, professional, social and ethical values and standards
