Senior Commercial Placement Broker

Location: Milton Keynes

Contract type: Permanent

Remuneration: Up to £45,000 (dependant on skills and experience) + company benefits

Building on the success of our existing team, we now have an exciting opportunity for an Account Broker to join us in Milton Keynes.

The role will suit candidates that are seeking the opportunity to progress within their Insurance career and who enjoy building strong client relationships. The role offers great career opportunities in an established brokerage.

You will need to be able to provide excellent customer service, build and retain rapport and successfully manage a number of commercial accounts.

What will I be doing?

To assist in placement of Commercial Business on behalf of partner brokers and Insurers and generate revenue for the Broking Desk in line with agreed targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that broker presentations are actioned and administered in a timely and efficient manner
  • To ensure that quotations via the Broking desk are delivered on time with all the relevant information
  • To assist in interpreting Broker needs and provide solutions
  • Liaising with Partners and insurers ensuring opportunities are maximised
  • To ensure the correct recording of all Broking Desk placements
  • To assist with the preparation of Management Information as required
  • To comply with relevant regulatory requirements and the company's procedures
  • To assist in achieving annual revenue targets for the broking desk
  • To maintain and develop knowledge in a wide range of commercial products, legal and market developments
  • To maintain good working relationships with Network Brokers and Partner Insurers
  • Provide advice, support and mentoring to other team members
  • Identify own and other team members training needs
  • Ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to

What will I need?

  • 5 years' experience within a broking environment- Essential
  • Experience working within commercial insurance- Essential
  • Team leader/manager experience- Desirable
  • Good communication and IT skills
  • Cert CII qualified- Desirable
  • Acturis knowledge- Desirable
  • A good team player
  • Excellent organisational skills
