This will be a varied role with the primary focus on the development, construction, operation, closure and remediation of landfill sites.
Other work will include support to the mining and construction sectors.
The successful candidate will have expertise or a working knowledge of some of the following disciplines relevant to landfill development; Earthworks engineering Environmental Impact Assessment Geosynthetic’s design Permit applications Preparation of technical specifications Leachate & landfill gas management Contract management Closure Site Investigations Monitoring Geotechnics Landfill remediation.
Hydrogeological assessment Landfill operations Surface water management CAD / GIS The role will be a combination of project management and technical input in your own areas of expertise.
You will have support from the wider team who are highly skilled and experienced in the disciplines above.
Any experience of working in one of these regions or arid / tropical climates will be a distinct advantage. Good written and personal communication skills are essential together with experience of construction contracts (ICE / NEC), planning and environmental regulatory regimes where appropriate and current health & safety legislation.
Applicants should have between 5 and 15 years experience of landfill engineering and be degree qualified as a civil engineer, geotechnical engineer or other related subject.
Membership or chartership with a relevant professional body would be an advantage. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate looking to join a highly reputable consultancy.
