Working Capital Accountant

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Revenue Accountant to join a dynamic and progressive business. The UK Group is a dynamic business growing both organically and by acquisitions with over 15 acquisitions in last year and further acquisitions to be completed in 2018. The UK group operates over 100 locations with a central finance functions based in Bradford. The UK group has grown to over £600m turnover and plans continued grow during 2018.
Your new role
You will be responsible for the preparation of monthly balance sheet control account reconciliations, maintaining the Fixed Asset register including managing and designing the capital expenditure approval process. Reporting capital expenditure actual spend against budget, along with supporting the integration of company acquisition balances into the sales and purchase ledger. You will assist with the centralised purchase and sales ledger teams with the transition and will also be involved in year end processes and liaison with external auditors as required. Processing journals and other inputs onto the general ledger and budget and forecast preparation will also be required.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be required to have previous experience within a similar role with formal accountancy training along with the willingness to undertake further study. A high level of knowledge and understanding of excel ideally to an intermediate/advanced level. A high level of organisation, the ability to manage own workload to meet tight deadline and the ability to compile and analyse and review data to a high level of accuracy are all essential for the role. You will be an enthusiastic individual that is keen to learn, get involved and develop within the role.
