Axon Moore is currently recruiting for a highly successful Private Equity backed business based just outside of Manchester City Centre.

Due to internal progression and a number of recent successful acquisitions they are now looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their growing team.

This is a standalone, end to end purchase ledger role, reporting in to our clients Finance Manager with additional technical support from a Management Accountant and day to day process support from a separate purchase ledger team.

You will be responsible for duties as follows:
  • Ensuring invoices are authorised and processed and filed correctly
  • Full ownership of the purchase ledger accounts with an eye for detail and accuracy together with a drive to keep the accounts fully reconciled and transparent
  • Supplier account reconciliations
  • Ability to manage and maintain positive relationships both internally and with external suppliers
  • Make procurement card payments
  • Set up and prepare the BACS payments
  • Set up Direct Debits and manage Direct Debit accounts.

Whilst this isn't a high volume purchase ledger position, you will have complete ownership of the process and ledgers.

An individual who has SME experience would be ideal; we are also seeking an individual who would embrace and enjoy the ownership and responsibility.

Skills/Experience required:
  • It is essential to have previous purchase ledger experience in a similar role
  • An individual with an SME background is highly desirable
  • Software – exchequer and synergist – experience preferable but not essential
  • Good level of IT skills including Microsoft Excel
