A leading telco in Buckinghamshire are recruiting for a Senior Deployment Manager to work with them on a contract basis. This role will be situated within the Deployment function which is responsible for the delivery of a series of projects and activities on behalf of Shareholders. The key purpose of this position is to deliver network upgrade projects to time, cost and quality, and will include the following responsibilities:

  • Line management of a small team directly managing SWC Suppliers to deliver end to end site passive infrastructure (Design, Acquire and Build)
  • Successful delivery of passive site infrastructure to the company design and to HSQA standards
  • Maintain network continuity in accordance with operational safeguards
  • Liaise with Shareholder teams to exploit synergies between passive and active equipment deployment
  • Management of the day-to-day delivery of suppliers, third parties against contracted time, cost and quality obligations
  • Undertaking direct intervention to investigate under performance, instigate recovery initiatives and manage the recovery of delivery performance
  • Manage supplier delivery via regular review, meetings and reporting
  • Regular budget reforecasting in conjunction with Finance and Programme teams
  • Highlighting potential risks to projects and mitigate as necessary
  • Seek agreement from stakeholders about site lists, delivery timescales and budgeting as required
  • Manage changes to site lists or specific site requirements
  • Provide clear instruction to project delivery teams as to what is required to be delivered on site as part of specific deployments

Key Requirements/Skills:

  • Good understanding of RAN processes and cross-functional dependencies
  • Understanding of numerous functional deliverables (Acquisition, TX, Deployment, Ops)
  • Experience of motivating and managing outsource suppliers
  • Ability to deliver against organisational goals and to display effective leadership skills
  • Line management experience
  • Strong communication skills
