The successful candidate will have the relevant skills and experience specified below for this 6 month temporary contract based in Outer London/Croydon. The successful candidate will have a valid SC Clearance or be willing to have one sponsored by the client. If you do not possess the clearance level requested, you must be willing to apply for a Disclosure of Scotland on CV submission. Please Note: This assignment sits inside of IR35.
Job Description:The individual will drive beneficial security change into the business through the development or review of architectures so that they:
• Fit business requirements for security;
• Mitigate the risks and conform to the relevant security policies;
• Balance information risk against cost of countermeasures;
• Ensure security is implemented in a consistent way across the programme, and drive the overall design;
• Working with agile developers and testers to review code, run and manage security tests and provide security assurance the resultant code is safe from a security perspective;
• Working to articulate current risks against the system, the proposed mitigation and support the on-going accreditation process;
• Creating, running and managing the security processes and procedures, both technical and not, to maintain the security of the system, personnel, and appropriate environments;
• Security architecture for the design of secure digital services;
• Security principles for the programme;
• Agile development and programme staff security education;
• Experience in delivering security within Internet facing, transactional digital services is essential;
1. CISSP (Essential) 2. CCIE (Essential) 3. Relevant technology qualifications in Network services, such as Cisco (Essential ) 4. CCNA (Essential) 5. ITIL Practitioner Certification (Essential) 6. Relevant certification in IT Security(Essential) 7. MCSE and MCP (desirable)
Key Tasks & Deliverables:1. Technical implementation of various firewall and network changes. 2. Harding network and internet gateways by implementing correct toolset and policies. 3. WAN, LAN design 4. Understand and can implement changes from Datacentre design on various technologies (Cisco ACI, UCS and Nexus switching).
Experience Required: ESSENTIAL 1. Detailed knowledge and experience of routing protocols (MPLS, VPLS, BGP, OSPF) 2. Firewall design and implementation (Checkpoint, Juniper, Fortinet, Cisco) 3. Network QoS\CoS implementation 4. Extensive experience in technical documentation (HLD/LLD and network and solution designs) 5. Detail understanding of network architecture and security concepts.
Additional Information:Brief Description - Design and Delivery of Enterprise Security Solutions.- Assume responsibility of Technical Design Authority - Administration of firewalls - Responsible for the full delivery lifecycle of Security Solutions – Customer Workshops, High Level and Low Level Design and Implementation. - Networks Design and Implementation – Perimeter, DMZ, RAS, VPN, SSL VPN and WAN acceleration - Manage appropriate documentation, and ability to present technical solutions to wider Technical and Management Steering Groups. Travel Upto 50% of time , across various data centres in and around London (such as Farnborough) Yes may require some out of office hours engagementPlease Note: The lower pay rate advertised in this job description is the highest daily PAYE pay rate that the client is willing to pay up to. The higher pay rate advertised in this job description is the highest daily Umbrella Company Pay Rate that the client is willing to pay up to.
