Up to £75,000 basic salary plus package

About the role:

The Engineering Manager will report to the Technical Director and responsible for all the design stages of each project. From proposal to completion, you will own the entire scope of work, manage all client relationships including liaising with external agencies and take responsibility for the overall success of multiple projects. There will also be requirement to assist with the coordination of consultants, review applications and proposals and provide technical support to other departments.

Civils design coordination & value engineering, in particular drainage & foundation designs.Manage Section Agreements including the adoption of roads and sewers on completed developments, 278 agreements, 104 agreements etc. to provide support to Technical Manager/CoordinatorResponsible from proposals to completion of all civils design stages of each projectSupport the Land team in the development of initial design schemes for future projectsEffectively communicating technical advice to assist where required throughout the development processManagement of external consultantsAttending and on occasions leading client meetings and information sessions (Design Team Meetings) as well as attending Site meetingsOffering innovative solutions to problems as they ariseMeeting regularly with in house construction team to create and review drawingsProvide support for pre-contract applications to include service proposals, statutory notifications, NHBC registrations, dealing with Building Regulations and planning conditions in coordination with Technical CoordinatorLiaison and support of other departments in providing technical information and assisting with technical issuesService co-ordination and support to other departments within the business in conjunction with utilities consultant & Technical CoordinatorSupport of site teams day to day where required in relation to Engineering solutionsRun projects under the supervision of the Head of TechnicalUsing AUTOCAD, PDS and Microsoft Office for checking drawings when requiredAbout the requirements:

BSc Engineering or equivalent qualificationKeen interest and knowledge of industry innovations and engineering solutionsA good understanding of the requirements of the Local AuthorityPreferably having an existing relationship with local engineers in the highways departments and drainage authoritiesExcellent written and verbal communications skillsCreative flair and innovative approach to problem solvingCompetent user of Microsoft office packagesEffective prioritisation and organisational skillsEffective at building relationshipsSelf motivated and pro-activeAbility to communicate technical informationAttention to detailProven ability to meet strict deadlinesPrevious experience working with or for a Housebuilder in a similar role is advantageousA perceptive individual who, through a natural diplomacy, can influence people in a changing environment.A clear thinking person demonstrating attention to detail who is well organized and can operate independently under a broad direction.A team builder who can develop and maintain good relationships and gain the confidence of other professionals both within the Company and outside.A broad thinker who can take a global view and has an inherent ability to ‘get the job done’.Residential experience either with a Main Contractor or Residential Developer Degree Qualification or equivalent About the benefits and rewards:

The salary offered always depends on the level of experience of the candidate and their exposure to the relevant industry sector. In this instance they are looking to pay up to £75,000 basic plus package. The package includes:
