Due to our continued growth, we are now looking for a Management Accountant to join our Finance team. As part of this role you will:

  • Assist the Financial Controller with daily financial tasks.
  • Assist the Financial Controller with the production of the Management accounts and compile presentations for submission to the Exec Team and Group Finance.
  • Undertake detailed Gross Margin reporting.
  • Undertake detailed Budget and Forecast preparation.
  • Monitor and Challenge departmental spend.
  • Identify and Implement Process Improvements and improve internal controls.
  • Review Internal Audit Procedures.
  • Identify & Implement improvements to Group Submissions.
  • Aid the development of the Assistant Management Accountant.
  • Maintain the integrity of the Financial Systems.
  • Develop ongoing and effective teamwork with all departments.
  • Reconciliation of Balance Sheet items including Bank.
  • HMRC tax returns including preparation of quarterly VAT returns.
  • Timely submissions to external bodies (ATOL/ABTA/CAA)
  • Undertake adhoc projects when necessary to assist the Finance department.
  • Communicate effectively, clearly and timely at all times with clients, other external contacts and colleagues.
  • Build strong relationships within Group Finance.

What it takes to be successful in this role;

  • Educated to A level or equivalent
  • Part/Fully Qualified CIMA Accountant
  • Experience of working through a full Financial Month End.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of standard PC packages and previous Financial Package experience.
  • Intermediate to high level of Microsoft Excel experience.
  • Previous office experience & working to deadlines.
  • Good level of personal organization, time management, multi-tasking and work load prioritization
  • Ability to work under pressure & react quickly to change
  • Self-motivated Positive and helpful attitude, a good ambassador for the business
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Excellent numerical skills and commercial awareness Demonstrates integrity Team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to build strong working relationships across departments
