An exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk / Sales Ledger Clerk has arisen at the Manchester offices for a leading gas company. This newly created position offers a fantastic opportunity for you to develop your AR skills with a new challenge.

As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating outgoing invoices
  • Keeping account of outstanding debts in order to plan cashflow
  • Allocating cash against goods dispatched notes (GDNs)
  • Generating customer debtor account statements
  • Liaising with the credit control department to ensure debts are chased and promptly paid
  • Credit checking via credit reference agencies
  • Setting credit limits

As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will have/be:

  • Experience of working with high volumes of data
  • A proven background of working in Sales Ledger
  • Excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience of working with SAP, or an equivalent large ERP system
  • Proficient with all MS Packages - especially Excel
