To ensure plant and equipment downtime is kept to a
minimum and building upkeep is maximised through efficient response times, continuous improvements, data
acquisition and analysis, whilst maintaining and developing a positive attitude towards costs, quality and health and safety.
Awareness of Production OEE’s and strive to make improvements to the OEE’s.
General allergen awareness.
Responsible for ensuring site security procedures are followed at all times.

Each engineer should consistently keep other team members informed of ongoing projects, breakdown issues, temporary repairs, and modifications.
Individuals should be able to approach the team for
support, assistance, advice, or specific skills and
knowledge to facilitate a proactive and harmonious team
Responsible for ensuring compliance with Company HR, Health & Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Hygiene policies and procedures.
Responsible for carrying out risk assessments
Undertake any other duties, projects or responsibilities as required by the Maintenance Manager or designate.
The individual should not carry out any task that he/she feels is unsafe, or compromises the product or others around him/her.

Preparation, tidiness and cleanliness of work areas and stores.
Electrical and mechanical diagnostic/fault finding techniques and the application of remedial work in a breakdown situation.
Electrical/mechanical competences, welding, basic machining, and fabrication skills are required to enable the engineer to carry out various "general maintenance" tasks within the engineering field.
Recording tasks and store withdrawals, complying with all Délifrance quality system requirements and raising non-conformities where necessary.
Follow a “clean as you go” policy – keeping the work area tidy at all times and ensure that this is respected/followed by other members of the team.
Ensure all doors leading from the production area to outside are kept closed at all times (except in the case of an emergency).
Ensuring all interior doors are closed when not in use.
Strip curtains must not be tied back.
Challenge or alert a manager if you see someone in the building you do not recognise and who is not wearing a visitor pass.

The maintenance team operate a shift system that requires integration and co-operation through various aspects of the tasks, communication and technical liaison at all levels.
The maintenance team operate a maintenance shutdown period usually once a week, where engineers are allocated maintenance tasks to complete on the day, this can involve two or more engineers allocated to the same task.

The routine tasks allocated to the individual are usually carried out on the shift cycle, these include routine maintenance and monitoring of production machinery, water, steam, freezing and air systems, and all tasks are carried out and/or recorded in accordance with Délifrance policies.
The engineer is responsible for the upkeep and consistent uptime of the plant and building during his/her shift, and any tasks carried out to achieve this will
be done efficiently, effectively and safely in accordance with Délifrance policies.
Attend relevant training courses including Company Induction, Health and Safety, Manual Handling and Food Safety training.
Successfully pass and hold a current Level 2 Food Safety
Control, upkeep and cleanliness of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Compliance with Company policies and procedures.
Report problems on the line immediately to the relevant managers/departments e.g. Maintenance, Quality, H&S
Consulted in review of risk assessments and CATS with Maintenance Manager and/or H&S Manager.
Attendance at regular department meetings.
Participate in projects as and when required.
