The Capital Markets Analyst will assist in the day to day running of the funding operations and will provide support to the development of the treasury function and any ongoing projects. The role is a great opportunity for candidates who wish to gain or further develop their experience within the structured finance/ capital markets sector and work within a lively dynamic environment.

The Securitisation and Funding team are responsible for ensuring Belmont Green has adequate liquidity to support the business as lending volumes grow and remain in compliance with the Liquidity Policy.

The type of funding will include secured bank finance, public and private securitisations and other innovative capital market transactions.

Major Activities:

·Provide support to all aspects of BGFL’s asset-backed funding and securitisation programmes.

Key areas of accountability:

·Review and analyse all programme documentation relating to BGFL’s securitisation, structured funding and capital market programmes.

·Coordinate and manage monthly ALCO and CPTC reporting processes.

·Assist with the modelling of liquidity positions and RoE analysis.

·Work closely with the team to develop and maintain Treasury budgets. Seek out cost saving opportunities.

·Respond quickly and efficiently to internal stakeholder requests.

·Keep abreast of market developments, sentiment and issuance activity, preparing regular reports to update the business.

·Support reporting to senior management, including the development of any ad hoc presentations and reports. Make recommendations based on analysis.

·Manage all Treasury procedures ensuring these are kept up to date at all times.

·Ensure controls are properly maintained and data stored in line with policy.

·Support and assist with the delivery of Treasury projects.

·Question, drive and implement process improvements within the department

Knowledge & Experience:

·Degree level educated- preferably in a finance, economics or mathematical subject.

·At least one years’ experience working within the Treasury department of a firm active in the Debt Capital Markets (RMBS/ ABS experience preferred).

·Good knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office programs. VBA experience is desirable but not a requirement.

·Good analytical skills, a strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy is required.

·Experience of project work is highly advantageous.
