Purchase Ledger Clerk
Location: Enfield, Middlesex
Salary/Rate: £18,000 - £21,000 dependent on experience
Type: Permanent, full time (Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00)

Adecco Harlow are currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk on behalf of our long-term client based in Enfield, Middlesex. This is a great opportunity to join an established, market leading business that can offer a great working environment and structured career path.

Main purpose of the job:
The Purchase Ledger Clerk is responsible for providing effective and efficient maintenance of the company Purchase Ledgers. The Purchase Ledger Clerk will ensure supplier payments are met according to agreed terms and under the approval of the Finance Manager.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
*Matching invoices to delivery notes and making subsequent payments to term
*Investigating, managing and resolving invoice queries in a timely manner
*Liaising with internal and external customers
*monthly statement reconciliations
*Monthly meetings with Finance Manager and MD to report on outstanding issues and other queries relating to PL function,
*Filing and maintaining records
*Month end journals as appropriate
*Additional duties as and when required by FOM.
Person Specification (skills, knowledge and experience required)
*Proven experience within a similar role
*Excellent numeric ability (including competency with MS Excel)
*Ability to work as part of a bigger finance team
*An organised and methodical approach
*A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
*Honesty and discretion
*The ability to solve problems
*The ability to communicate problems across all levels
