The Client:

My Client is a rapidly growing technology company specializing in IT based solutions for a variety of sectors, looking to appoint a flexible field service engineer.

The Opportunity:

This is a home-based role, but the candidate must be within commutable distance to support the South West head office and Southern client base. The ideal candidate will be able to work with minimal supervision, at sensible heights and proficient with small hand held tools.

There are opportunities for overtime and on call work outside of the normal working week, Monday to Friday. You may also be required to work away from home for short periods of time. A fully equipped company vehicle and usual expenses are provided and a clean driving license is essential.

The Candidate:

  • Good customer service

  • Good field knowledge of networking (WAN / LAN / Wi-Fi)

  • Ideally, experience with Ubiquity and Mikro Tik technologies

  • Knowledge of installs, moves, changes (IMAC), Windows OS, MS Office Suites

  • Cat5/6 cabling and terminations

  • An understanding of service desk processes and ticket management

Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

    Cabling/data network installations

    Logging time, managing assets and reporting changes

    Satellite installation
