Robert Half are Partnering with a Manufacturing company based in Trowbridge for the appointment of an Assistant Management Accountant. This role is to support the Finance & Operations Director in the day to day operation of the finance function. As the team is small the role offers a great variety of duties.

Key responsibilities

  • End to End Accounts Receivable (Credit Control)
  • End to End Accounts Payable and Expenses
  • End to End Sales Order Processing
  • Cash
  • Process all bank transactions and complete bank reconciliations on a daily basis - liaise with bank where require
  • Complete Petty Cash Reconciliation monthly and post journal
  • Maintain the Cash Forecast with actuals and latest forecasts for Sales and Purchases, Receipts and Payments
Nominal Ledger
  • Maintaining the Ledger to trial balance
  • Cash management and credit control
  • VAT and book-keeping to include maintenance of VAT records and control accounts
  • Preparation of timely management accounts with detailed analysis and commentary of revenues and costs for review
  • Provision of budgetary information and assisting in the budgeting/forecasting process
  • Variance analysis
  • Reconciling all control accounts and balance sheet items on a monthly basis for review. This includes:
  • Completion of all bank reconciliations
  • Updating and maintaining the fixed asset register and reconciliation to the nominal ledger
  • Completion of all non-payroll month end reconciliations including accruals, pre-payments, commissions, retrospective rebates and marketing schedules
  • Ensure all items reconcile to the nominal ledger - producing supporting analysis as required
  • Liaise with Finance & Operations Director and external auditors to produce financial reports, schedules and supplementary information as required
  • Raise any recharge invoices for Exceptional Items and maintain a reconciliation spreadsheet

Your Profile

  • AAT qualification desirable and/or part qualified CIMA/ACCA and/or Qualified by Experience
  • Strong IT and computer skills competent with Microsoft Excel / Word / Outlook - Sage experience advantageous but not essential
  • Strong financial and numeracy skills
  • Attention to detail

Salary and Benefits
