Temporary Senior Accounts Payable role initially for 2/3 months working in a engaging and busy environment. There is potential for the role to become permanent for then right individual

The client is a fast growing business based in the heart of Bath

Description

The key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Supporting existing business within the company and responsible for the more complex reconciliation and processing tasks.
  • Dealing with opening balance tidy up from the completion accounts process
  • Processing any manual payments required
  • Ensuring all tasks for which you are responsible are completed to a high standard of quality, and the teams SLA is adhered to at all times
  • Support members of the team who may not be familiar with some processes
  • Help resolve queries from external and internal customers
  • Ad Hoc admin

Profile

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Familiarity and knowledge of the account payable department
  • Currently studying AAT (or similar) / or completed qualification
  • Able to work to a high degree of accuracy
  • Confident of dealing with a high volume workload
  • Clear and confident communication skills
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Adaptable approach to work
  • A strong team ethic
  • Ability to take the lead within the team, in the absence of other senior team members
  • Be a go-to person for queries within the team
  • Knowledge of Open Accounts and Strong Excel skills (i.e. Pivot tables and Vlookups) would be desirable
