Due to an exciting year of growth we are now looking for a Purchase Ledger clerk to join our finance team in Stafford. The key purpose of this role is to ensure that all aspects of the role are adhered to and all payments are presented on time

As part of this role you will;

Ensure that all accounts are being run as efficiently as possible.Reconcile supplier statements to purchase ledger accounts.Prepare manual and computerised payments.Liaise with suppliers and branches File, telephone answer, and general office housekeeping.Respond to branch, department and supplier queriesRaise customer invoices and credit notes accuratelyUpdating a query report (KPI)Post cash paymentsMatch payments in back office systemReconcile credit card statementsSend supplier remittancesComplete bacs runProcess a large number of invoices/credit for payment including foreign suppliersDeale with invoice queriesSupport improvement work streams and continuously strive to improve own operating standards and methods in order to meet and exceed targetsMaximise personal skills, knowledge and experience to positively impact on performance and assist in meeting business goalsAdhere to the organisation’s policy and procedures on information security and take whatever actions are required to safeguard data and assets.To be successful our ideal applicant will;

Have previous Purchase Ledger experienceDemonstrate excellent attention to detailComputer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office, and in particular ExcelGood communication skillsAble to work under pressure and to tight month end deadlinesKnowledge of back office systems Ability to work within a team environment to achieve team/department objectivesAbility to think logically, consider all relevant aspects and carry out basic analysis on information
