Our Public Sector client are looking for a full-time, temporary Finance Analyst to join their team. The rate of pay is £7.50 an hour, rising to £9.00 an hour after a period of 12 weeks. Holiday entitlement and pension scheme available.

Our client offers a great working environment with plenty of on-site parking.

You will be a part of a team who processes claims from Local Authorities for the costs of running national elections. You will be reimbursing the costs of the elections. Officers are responsible for checking claims against financial and statutory rules. A finance background would be useful although training will be given.

You will be responsible for;

Processing individual claims through to completion.
Carrying out initial checks on claims for mathematical accuracy and completeness.
Clarifying questionable items within the team, with customers or with Counting Officers as necessary using the guidance and processes, your own knowledge and amending or removing items falling out of these allowable expenses.
maintaining records and ensuring they are up to date at all times for Management reference.
Writing to Counting Officers who are usually Chief Executives in polite, clear and straightforward language regarding queried claims.
Following us up outstanding responses and perusing any issues.
General Administration.

The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of excel and be highly numerate and from a financial background.

You will be required to be highly numerate, analytical with good literacy skills.

The rate of pay is £7.50 per hour for the first 12 weeks, after the 12 weeks this will then increase to £9.00 per hour.
