2ND LINE IT SUPPORT EXECUTIVE

20 – 25k, PLUS BENEFITS

Our client is a leading Digital agency that work with some major brands, helping them to really build their Digital presence through the crafting and coding of websites that don’t just look amazing, but are technically brilliant too. We are now looking for a Technical Support Executive to join the technical client services team, which are responsible for delivering pro-active technical account and infrastructure support to the client services team, and providing technical support to the developers and support desk. If you have experience in 2nd line support then this role could suit.

Main Responsibilities:

-Building and maintaining positive relationships with internal team as well as key clients, having regular project review meetings, resolving issues, keeping up-to-speed with requirements, understanding their business infrastructure and liaising with their technical teams.

-Maintaining a full understanding of company processes, policies, guidelines and contractual obligations and ensuring these are consistently followed.

-Delivery of projects alongside client services and operations

-Day to day management of hosting infrastructure, including:

o P1 incident response – (websites down)

o Resource monitoring

o Alert response

-Liaising with clients and client services:

oFor deployments (where client has specific requirements)

oFor client-owned network/server maintenance

-Deployments:

oExisting live sites (standard tickets)

oPre-planned site go-lives

oFormalising documentation for deployments

oHelping to create deployment plans

-Database management of development and test SQL databases - creating and moving upon request of development team.

-SSL certificate management, liaising with client services team

-DNS management

Main Skills and Experience

-A good balance of customer service and commercial awareness

A background in 2nd line IT support or similar would be ideal

-A technical understanding of and interest in web hosting, including server support and management

-Experience of development and demonstrable interest in IT

-Unparalleled organisational skills and a natural ability to get things done.

-Ability to work with minimal supervision with an ability to plan and prioritise your own time

-Have meticulous attention to detail.

-Have excellent communication skills

-Provide positive contributions to a team-working environment, in relation to ideas, providing support to colleagues

-Able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
