Project & Process Engineer - Injection Moulding

Job role / duties

•Procure and install all machines, ensuring all machinery is compliant to requirements.
•Complete all risk assessments. Ensure effective management of contractors
•Define the correct level of process control through the use of Process Flow, P-FMEA, Control Plans and SQA net - confirm the process
through the analysis of capability studies and nasty checks
•Reduce leak and scrap ratios
•Manage new tooling introduction - perform annual P-FMEA reviews
•Maintain long term capacity plans, factory layout to optimise flow
•Analyse and compare in house manufacture to outsourcing, ensure cost competitiveness
•Implement net time improvement plans
•Detail specifications for machinery ensuring standardisation and compliance
•Assess the impact of ECI / PCI to process and implement changes ensuring the relevant test requirements are met.
•Project manage the introduction of new materials / suppliers
•Continuous delivery of appropriate communications
•Performance Measures
•Leak & scrap target , net time reduction, operation ratio targets achievements
•Support and coach other engineers, mentor members of the manufacturing teams

To be considered for this role you MUST:

•Be Degree / HND educated in a relevant discipline
•Have 5 years minimum Production engineering experience
•Be able to demonstrate experience of long term planning & cost savings - machine & auxiliary specification, layouts and procurement
•Have experience of Process design, machine capacity design and defining process control
•Be numerical / analytical - understanding of project management tools, capacity planning and materials flow
•Have experience of working to automotive manufacturing standards
