Salary £22,500 to £34,500 per annum
About the role
The busy Shared Services Team has been established for a number of years, and are part of our internal Finance function but work very in close partnership with our wider HR team. They have responsibility for the high volume processing of internal colleague Human Resources changes, payroll input and Pension administration through administrative tasks, telephone calls and email enquiries.
Our Senior Payroll Advisor takes responsibility for the high level administering of services relating to Payroll, Pensions and Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVC). You'll support the team and take responsibility for leading the processing of our end to end payroll.
You will work with Helen our Payroll Manager who loves nothing more than spending time with her 2 growing daughters (they are already taller than she is), and her 2 young (and growing) Alsation pups. You will also work with Jackie who has worked for for Home Group all her life (its more than a few years service, just don't ask her how old she is!), and Tracey who is just returning from Maternity leave and doesn't want the time spent with her girls to end! You will be covering for Philippa who is going on Maternity leave herself, after getting married and moving house in 2017!
Who we’re looking for
With relevant pensions and payroll expertise, you will take responsibility for reconciling payroll to our financial system. You will also look after our control accounts including payroll costing’s, and will have a strong working knowledge of PAYE, NIC (National Insurance Contributions) as well as TUPE legislation.
You will work closely in partnership with our HR team on any projects that arise as well as taking the lead on any Service Improvement projects also.
You will have strong technical skills in both Excel and Business Intelligence. You will also be able to manage and manipulate large amounts of data by means of excel based “Pivot Tables” and “VLookup” to produce, collate and analyse reports for the wider business. You are a strong team player with a can do attitude and will have excellent communication skills.
