Web Developers (Full or Part Time)
Wimborne, Dorset
£25000 - £35000 + Package

Your new company
You will be joining a digitally driven business, established for close to 20 years, located close to Wimborne in the heart of Dorset. We're seeking 2 highly skilled candidates with strong web development skills that are comfortable in front of clients.

There is one front end developer and one OO PHP Developer position. You must have work examples to display to be considered.

Your new role
You will be working on a range of projects and will be reporting directly to the Head of Digital and General Manager playing a pivotal role in creating high quality site builds for clients, predominantly servicing the SME market.

The role offers a chance to grow a hybrid skill set with opportunities to work on all elements of the design and build process as the company are strong believers in sharing responsibilities. This extends further to looking at strategy and assisting with project management if you would like to grow in this direction. You should be comfortable maintaining a hands-on role, but have aspirations to be one of the go-to people within the team helping to drive the business forward.

The environment is perfect for someone who is self-motivated, wants access to a variety of tech/tools/project work and who would thrive in a small, friendly team where everyone works together to meet deadlines as they feel valued.

What you'll need to succeed
Technology wise the company are open source and predominantly run full stack PHP/jQuery/Bootstrap. It is important to have knowledge of design, both UX and how visuals are produced using the Adobe suite of products. There's variety is the work across front end, PHP MVC frameworks, GIT, SASS/LESS, and some Wordpress.

If you are missing one of these skills in isolation then do not be concerned, the company value aptitude to learn and personality in equal measure to technical skills. It is also crucial to note that these are individual roles and they provide the opportunity to specialise within front or back end development, or to bridge the two.

We're looking for someone to bring experience and gravitas to the team, someone with an eye on strategy and equally as important is that you are comfortable being given a development project to complete without continuous guidance.

What you'll get in return
You'll join a team where work life balance is not an abstract culture. You will be given training and have the chance to share knowledge regularly with other talented front and back end specialists. You will get a generous holiday allowance and time out of the office for company social events and PDP schemes.
