Customer Compliance Manager, Hertfordshire
This role would suit a passionate Food Safety and Quality professional who is perhaps looking to move away from the shop floor into a HO function...
You are probably trudging through Quality role after Technical role, based in the factory, routine, same old job description, thinking 'I want to move but not for the same job'.
Well, this is an opportunity to utilise your experience in a new working environment, a bit different and not an opportunity you see every day. This is a chance to work for a prestigious retail business based out of its Head Office, an opportunity to move away from the shop floor, or perhaps remain office based (if you have already been lucky enough to do so!) and have significant impact on this company's performance and reputation in the market place.
What will you be doing? This role will see you drawing upon your understanding of food safety, legality and compliance and using it to escalate and investigate important customer complaints. Not your everyday complaints, but the real nitty-gritty complaints that may relate to insurance claims, environmental health and Trading Standards etc. You will work closely as the liaison between the customer complaints call handling team and the UK wide sites and major UK retail customers to raise reports and manage the investigation process through to close out and completion.
You need to be able to make pragmatic decisions and be able to chase and influence stakeholders and managers throughout the supply chain to ensure you gather the information you need to trace back all complaints and get to the root cause and close out with corrective actions. You will be pro-active and raise any concerns as part of these investigations. Alongside this you will also impart your knowledge on the customer call handling team, training them on food safety and technology so they can improve the front line support to the customer.
We need personality, someone who is analytical but enjoys pace, the buzz of managing a project through completion and the ability to train and mentor others. It is also essential that you are qualified in Food Science or related field and hold HACCP and advance Food Hygiene qualifications.
Please note there will be some on call work as part of this role.
This role is available immediately, so apply today and you could be in before Christmas!
