The Role

In this role you will be responsible for the following:

*Reporting to the Sales Director in a pivotal role within the Grocery team
*Manage, mentor and develop a team of 5 reports
*Responsible for shaping customer strategy that delivers overall budget plans relating to volume, revenue and margin targets.
*Implement and review the sales and commercial strategy for the customers and channel
*Define and develop the customer contact strategy for the customer, channel and business unit
*Encourage effective relationships with other functions including Supply Chain, Financial Planning and NPD & Marketing teams

In order to be successful in this role you should have the following experience:

*Extensive experience in FMCG, not necessarily within the Food category
*Commercial/sales experience in Retail/FMCG
*Grocery P&L accountability with high value Grocery customers
*Able to demonstrate current best practice in FMCG commercial processes
*Excellent analytical and numerical skills
*A good understanding and commitment to Equal Opportunities and managing Diversity
*Leadership expertise ideally having managed NAMs
