Business Information Analyst (Maternity cover)

Department: Finance, Bristol Office

Reporting to: Head of Business Information

Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to work with a growing team providing periodic and ad-hoc information and analysis to the senior team and wider business, driving decision making and providing financial support.

This role will be based in Bristol, but the candidate will be required to travel to Leeds up to 3 days a week initially for handover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support collation of data for group and divisional KPIs which will drive understanding of and insight into current performance vs the plan, ensuring the business delivers its aggressive growth agenda.
  • Review business and sales team performance, creating a culture of continuous improvement, which identifies growth and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Analyse complex data sets, then design and implement dashboards and reports for communication to the business, revealing insights into the underlying performance.
  • Prepare summaries and communicate key findings through regular insight updates.
  • Help drive operational efficiencies within the finance team.
  • Deliver ad-hoc analysis requests and data queries.
  • Complete month end reconciliation of client numbers for all products
General Requirements
  • Proven track record of performance within an analytical role, owning issues to conclusion and delivering high quality output.
  • Strong influencer and stakeholder manager, with a proactive, confident approach.
  • The ability to prioritise, with a methodical approach and an eye for detail is essential.
  • Proven experience of providing value adding analysis to support commercial decision making.
  • Able to operate in a dynamic environment, recommending solutions to standardise and simplify business processes.
  • Experience in a comparable financial services business and knowledge of industry best practice is desirable.
  • Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools.
