We are a 7 year-old manufacturing company, supplying specialist telecoms & security products to the Oil & Gas & Defense industries. As part of our growth we need to employ another Project Engineer. The main purpose of the role is to perform a wide range of engineering tasks to enable the company to undertake project fulfilment.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Requirements analysis to translate customer’s specifications into systems design
• Highlight any areas of non-conformance and raise requirements for implementation of technical solutions
• System design using our products to form a technical solution
• System drawings and documentation, for example:
Equipment General Arrangement Drawings
System Block Diagrams
Functional Design Specifications
System Cabling termination drawings
Equipment internal wiring drawings
Power requirements documents
Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) & Site Acceptance Test (SAT) documents
Test Results Documents
Operation Installation & Maintenance Manual
• Undertake system acceptance testing both internally and with external clients
• Work with production & test staff to oversee equipment build & test process
• Liaise with suppliers to discuss provision of bespoke products & to resolve technical issues
• Liaise with clients to discuss project progress, resolve technical issues & ensure that client review & approval of the system design is achieved; ensuring that any client comments are incorporated into drawings and documents
• Ensure that changes during the project life cycle are documented and that drawings/documents are updated
• Arrange and attend Factory Acceptance Testing with the client in attendance
• Provide post-delivery support to the client
• Ensure that the requirements of the company ISO 9001 quality system are adhered to at all times
• Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with our policies in respect of H&S

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
• Computer skills & knowledge of relevant software inc. MS Word & Excel, Viso & possibly Auto CAD
• Technical Engineering qualification in electrical/electronic engineering discipline or relevant industry experience
• Experience in a similar role or through education
