As our Finance Assistant, reporting directly to the Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering effective cash management for the Society in collaboration with service managers and staff. You will raise the sales invoices and follow the process through to collection of all debts in a timely and professional manner. You will provide accurate and prompt banking and processing of all income received as well as dealing with all supplier invoices, and payments, within agreed terms and assist the payroll manager as required.
- Must have relevant accounts office experience in a commercial environment or within the not-for-profit sector
- Experience of providing an income management service is essential
- A professional, friendly and helpful telephone manner for dealing with queries from carers, service users, purchasers of service and suppliers
- Part qualified AAT or qualified by experience is desirable
The position of finance assistant is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure, and two satisfactory references, one of which must be from your current or most recent employer.
