Our client are the largest supplier of bacon and gammon, is a independent family business with international backing, are looking for a Shift Engineer with electrical bias to join their well established team.
The successful Shift Engineer must have an electrical background in prevention and maintenance within the food/manufacturing processing industry back up with a professional qualification or served Apprenticeship.
Hours: The shift is rotating AM (05:30-14:00) & PM (13:30-22:00)
Responsibilities of a Shift Engineer:
- Work with other functions as part of the manufacturing team to ensure efficient running of the equipment and carry out prioritised workResolve electrical problemsOrder spare parts as required on shift if unavailable from stock and contact contractors/suppliers as required in order to resolve problems on shiftResolve electrical problemsCarry out work assignments issued by Manager and maximise effectiveness of the shiftMay be required to carry and move parts on an FLT
- Electrical experience: electrical qualifications/time served Apprenticeship 2 Years experience of working in an automated production environmentData and analytical skillsComputer literate (Word/Excel/Windows based packages)Previous food processing industry experience
- Previous food processing industry experienceBasic Food HygieneBasic Health & SafetyPLC, pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature control, instrumentation, weldingFLT license
