Job title Engineering Coordinator
Reports to Operations Manager
Role purpose Planning the daily workload for engineers, supporting the team of Field Engineers and Subcontractors. Ensuring all Health and Safety requirements are met. Providing technical support clients, Field Engineers, Sales staff and Subcontractors.
Job Features Mainly office based, some site visits may be required, may have to stay away occasionally, Some involvement with introduction of a new fleet support service system, Helping with stock control and ordering of components.Some simple repairs required (training provided).
Engineering team workload - Planning installations, annual service visits, breakdowns, chargeable work. Organizing accommodation.
Administration - Preparing, sending & modifying Risk Assessments & Method Statements etc. to all customers pre-installation.
Communication - Handling engineer’s queries as they arise.
- Raising job costings and invoices on job completion.
- Responding to customer queries and resolving problems.
Team management - Ensuring all field jobs run smoothly
- Implementing positive change and procedures
Subcontractors - Assist in managing the subcontractor relationships
2nd Line Support - Provision of 2nd line support to Field Engineers, Sales and Subcontractors.
Health and Safety - Complying with health and safety policy and legislation.
GCSE/A Level (English)
Customer Service/Support Experience
Good communications, ability to liaise with customers when under pressure.
Organised & able to respond to constantly changing situations.
Knowledge of Installation practices and/or heating & ventilation systems.
Ability to read a schematic & work out job requirements.
Able to work under pressure
Of smart appearance
Able to work as part of a team
