On behalf of our client, a leading global manufacturer and supplier of specialist products we are seeking to recruit an experienced Equipment Engineer.
The purpose of the role is to maintain, repair and improve manufacturing equipment.
Key responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of tool areas for maintenance, breakdowns, trouble shooting etc.
  • Individually and in a team ensure optimum uptime/minimal downtime for tools in area
  • Initiate and apply equipment performance improvement programme
  • Liaise with suppliers ensur4ing best possible support for tool sets
  • Define and implement tool maintenance schedules and procedures
  • Deliver cost reduction, cycle time reduction and yield improvement
  • Provide training for other members of the team
  • Be a member of the site emergency response team
  • Perform maintenance task risk assessments
  • Adhere to all health and safety requirements
  • Work shifts on a 4 on 4 off 12 hour rotating shift pattern (day and nights)
  • Work in a cleanroom environment, adhering to applicable protocols
Essential Qualifications required:
  • HNC/HND in Physics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or industry equivalent is essential
Skills and Experience required:
  • Clean Room experience
  • Experience in supporting and maintaining capital equipment
  • Technical leadership and ability to train and mentor others
  • Ability to diagnose and solve complex technical problems
  • Experience within Medical devices, Semi Conductor, pharmaceutical, vacuum systems industries are an advantage
