Manufacturing Futures are currently seeking a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer to work a 6-2, 2-10 shift pattern for a well-known furniture manufacturer. The successful Maintenance Engineer will be part of a small team of engineers working throughout the factory in a friendly employee focused atmosphere. Youll need to be well rounded technically with experience of breakdowns, PPMs and project work, and have a positive attitude to continuous improvement and lean engineering. Character fit will be very important. Theres a real team atmosphere amongst a group of engineers that genuinely like each other, and theyd like someone else to compliment that dynamic.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, Furniture, Role and Responsibilities
* Working on production lines throughout the factory including reactive maintenance, breakdowns and PPMs
* Welding and fabricating duties required to be completed when necessary
* Liaise with the other maintenance staff on site to increase OEE and reduce downtime
* Involvement with the electrical maintenance when needed

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, Furniture, Skills & Abilities
* C&G qualified within mechanical engineering or equivalent as a minimum. Apprenticeship preferred
* Experience working in a manufacturing environment, knowledge of woodworking / CNC machinery used in the furniture industry preferred
* The ability to fault find, attend breakdowns and find the root cause of a breakdown with complex electro-mechanical machinery
* Previous exposure to lean and continuous improvement activity
