Premier Work Support are currently seeking an experienced Bio-Hall Engineer for a large plant based in Basildon. You will be responsible for maintenance of the bio-hall and galleries equipment, both planned and reactive maintenance, whilst supervising the engineering cleaners.

This role will involves greasing and replacing bearings, replacing and tracking belts, cleaning and replacing rollers, greasing and cleaning fans. You will be expected to work safely following the company's safety procedures and to supervise the shredders team ensuring their compliance. You will undertake planned maintenance and reactive maintenance. You will be expected to take responsibility for identifying and repairing defects and to bring to the attention of your manager any potential hazards or means to improve the reliability of the plant.

For this position you will be required to hold a recognised engineering qualification, ideally in both mechanical and electrical engineering. You will need to have experience working within hazardous and confined spaces. Also experience working with fans, gearbox and conveyor belts is required. There will be a three month assessment period with another qualified engineer, during which on job training will be provided.

The ideal candidate must be reliable and dedicated, with a methodical and analytical approach to maintaining the shredders. You must be able to supervise unskilled colleagues.

This role will be on a shift rota basis, the hours of work are 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
