£20,000 to £25,000 (DOE) plus Company Benefits

Due to continued success in the insurance industry our client are looking for a Credit Hire Claims Team Leader to join their already expanding Motor Insurance Claims department.

Our client who are an international insurance company and insurance broker have been trading for over 17 years and they continue to go from strength to strength.

The Role:

The Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day technical and claims performance, activities and guidance of their team members. The Team Leader sets targets, implements guidelines, and assists with any issues the employees may have.

Duties & Responsibilities:

'Set individual and team goals or objectives to ensure the team meets the expectations of clients, business partners and the business.
'Supervise, train or guide team members to ensure team members achieve individual and business targets.
'Monitor and review the performance of team members through observation, analysis of management information and customer and technical feedback.
'Provide ad-hoc coaching, amending and revising workload as necessary, and utilising support functions where necessary.
'To have an excellent understanding of claims reserving and the company's reserving philosophy, motor claims third party handling including intervention.
'To have an excellent knowledge of bodily injury claims handling and MOJ reforms, case law and all associated legal matters.
'To have an excellent understanding of credit hire claims handling including non GTA and GTA procedures and an understanding of the litigation procedures and impact.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
To apply for this vacancy you must be educated to at least Grade C GCSE Level in Mathematics and English, preferably working towards gaining a Management qualification at level 3 or Insurance qualification. Legal qualifications desirable.

Preferred Skills:

'Clear and professional communication skills (both verbal and written).
'Experience of bodily injury /credit hire/claims management in a claims environment.
'Excellent knowledge of motor claims handling, ideally including intervention/capture of claims.
